Fabian platter green

This plate series is characterized by its elegant, thin profile – a result of solid craftsmanship and careful production. To achieve the slender shape, specially processed clay is used in combination with molding methods.

Small, grainy specks in the glaze are a natural characteristic of the recycled clay and not a quality defect. They are caused by mineral particles in the clay during firing and may occur regardless of the glaze colour.

During firing at high temperatures, the glaze melts and forms a smooth surface. As the ceramic cools, fine cracks naturally appear in the glaze, creating its characteristic crackle effect. The reactive glaze causes the pattern and density of the cracks to vary from piece to piece, making each piece unique.
